The UK based STROND Watch Company is going to launch a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter March 21, 2021 for its latest design - DC-3 Mark II. The DC-3 Mark ll is inspired by 1940's aviation and classic timepieces.
The brand new British designed, LIMITED EDITION DC-3 Mark ll pilot timepiece designed by Terrence Ray who was the designer for the Aston Martin tourbillon, designed as timepiece to celebrate the release of the new Aston Martin Valkyrie super car and presented to the design director of Aston Martin himself at their headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
DC-3 Mark ll collection will be using the renowned Swiss Ronda movement coupled with the British vintage design, and using material form an original DC-3 aeroplane to make the metal tags on the dial.

For watch enthusiasts & aviation lovers STROND is giving people the opportunity to wear a piece of history. Each watch will be made with a metal tag in the 6 hour position made from the wing of a 1930's DC-3, with the plane identification number NC - 16007 engraved onto the tag itself.
